Cynghordy Viaduct - Gentle local walk with dramatic views of the 18 arch railway viaduct. Good for an evening stroll with the dog.

Brecon Beacons National Park - Pen-Y-Fan, South Wales' highest peak. Llyn Y Fan Fach, A magical lake linked to Welsh folklore. Waterfall Country, 4 spectacular waterfalls where you can walk behind a waterfall.

Lynn Brianne Dam and Reservoir - Home of the UK's tallest dam with spectacular views and roads which run around the reservoir.

Heart of Wales Line - Cynghordy has a request stop! Scenic rural line running from Shrewsbury to Swansea. Dogs are allowed too.

Llandovery Farmers Market - The first Saturday of the month our local town holds a market showcasing local produce.

Llandovery Town - Steeped in history, Llandovery has a butchers, patisserie, ice cream and doughnut shop, as well as your local convenience shops. There is a castle ruin in the town's car park too.

Llandeilo - Amazing selection of independent shops. Highlights, Dinefwr Castle and Newton House.

Penygawse Tearooms - Perfect for breakfast, lunch or a slice of cake and coffee in a 18th century venue.

The Kings Head - A historic Welsh pub in the heart of the town, steeped in tradition and charm. Real ales, home cooked meals and dog friendly.

The Castle Hotel - Classic pub food and good atmosphere with outdoor seating. Also dog friendly.

The White Horse - A little further afield in Builth Wells but if you fancy something different to your usual pub grub, then this is it. Amazing burger menu and monthly specials with a street food twist.
DAY 1
Arrival & Local Exploring

Arrive at Bronfelen Yurt mid-afternoon, settle in and unwind with your drink of choice.

Take a gentle walk to Cynghordy Viaduct. A short stroll but dramatic views as the train trundles past overhead.

Evening: Drive 10 minutes to Llandovery for dinner. The Kings Head has a great choice of pub favourites. You can bring your dog too.

Or, maybe a takeaway tickles your fancy.

Back to the Yurt for stargazing with a glass of wine.
DAY 2
Brecon Beacons Adventure

Morning: Cuppa and pack a picnic.

Set off to the Brecon Beacons with a little stop off at Penygawse for breakfast to fuel your day.
-
A walk at Llyn Y Fan Fach. With a circular route (approx 3-4 miles). Dogs will love it too.

Picnic by the lake or down in the valley.​

Afternoon: Return to the Yurt to put your feet up before lighting the BBQ or getting dinner on the go in the outdoor kitchen.
-
Evening: Light the firepit, toast marshmallows and stargaze.
DAY 3
Scenic Drive & Culture

Morning: Whip up breakfast using eggs from our chickens.

Head to Dinefwr Estate. Explore the deer park and castle ruins with sweeping views. Dogs welcome on leads.

Lunchtime: Mooch Llandeilo's highstreet. A great choice of independent shops and places to pick up some lunch.

Afternoon: Return via Llyn Brianne Dam and Reservoir. Incredible views, forest trails, peaceful and quiet. (make sure you have fuel!)

Evening: Back at the Yurt, final night under the stars with the log burner lit.
